IKKS FALL 2011 Pre Collection

by Faye Segal June 10, 2011

Kid girl (2-14 years): With a dash of sequins, a splash of lace, star markings and a hint of pink, this is a very girly world but one that still has a rock influence and a touch of baroque. The items are customised: stickers, pins, rhinestones, embroidery. There is also something of a "navy touch" for the romantic sailor who likes red, navy blue and taupe. Polka dots and micro gingham are among the favourite print patterns. The knitwear is worn with lace, the fur coat is coloured with a beautiful fabric flower brooch and the trompe l’oeil padded jacket is worn tight around the waist... In a slightly more sensible spirit, kid girls will love the touches of fuchsia and silver and the prints which mix flowers with tie motifs. They will also love their wardrobe of dresses and will shout from the rooftops: I love my IKKS dress! 5 dresses with different cuts, "multicoloured" prints or black and white, matching a short knit cardigan, available in five colours, all accessorized by a range of pink and black necklaces and hair clips. Always trendy and "safe", the girl kid defends the yellow reflective vest, but prefers it in shades of pink, but because it matches her favourite padded jacket. Worn over the top, it keeps her safe in the city. When she doesn't need it any more, she can quickly roll it up into the zip pocket in the hood of the jacket.

Kid boy (2-14 years): Too small to dare to wear them, but big enough to stake a claim to them, kid boys search for that chic and homely look: pocket watch, bow tie, suspenders. It is these offbeat codes that can be found in trompe l’oeil on a few shirts which complement the wardrobe, with colours varying from anthracite to indigo, via red, pink and orange. The Kid boy loves his wardrobe and has no hesitation in mixing his shirts with battle trousers or jeans, which match them very nicely. Our Frenchy style is also a hit in the schools of America. In a sportswear spirit, boys love to parade in slim velvet, fur lined fleece jackets for maximum comfort, the same comfort that is also found inthe smart jackets and smart jeans. The parka coats are designed in innovative extra-warm, extra-protective materials. The jeans are designed for the well-being of the kids with the adjustable waist and reinforced knees. They also come with a customisation set so that new life can be breathed into them in case the playground gets the better of them.

Finally, the jeans store jeans is a wardrobe of trendy denims with timeless cuts common to kids boys & girls. Each shape is identified: slim fit, regular, cool fit, loose fit, and each type of jean has been treated differently: raw, vintage raw, resin, black, polished, original, light grey, coloured. This season, the jeans store is being supplemented with "denim therapy", which brings a soothing feeling of comfort and well being. It improves balance and postural stability. IKKS, always at the forefront of innovation, has launched these revolutionary jeans combining technology, fashion and therapy.

Junior girl (6-18 years): The heart of the junior sways between rock and blues... The rock trend has been softened, taking a more romantic turn, going for a more trendy urban feminine look. The long knit cardigan, the trousers with seaming, the reversible down jacket, the 2 in 1 fleece dress and the bi-fabric Teddy parts are the highlights of a very modern theme: URBAN. In another world, more casual and every day, we have gone for the duffle coat, a series of "patched" shirts, a mixed lace tunic, a sailor blouse and knit cardigan with a fur lined hood in a range of navy blues, blues, whites and heather greys. The "Origin" spirit is back centre stage. The selection is more refined and the codes, which take their inspiration from the theme of the Canadian trapper, are indispensable in this very winter wardrobe. Even though it has been softened, the rock urban trend is still a safe bet. The jeans are slim and sleek in blue, black coated and rough waxed and lightly brushed. particular attention is paid to the finishing and the detailing of the buttons, the fancy rivets, the goodies and the Bermuda shorts that can be rolled up for a "shorts" effect to be worn with woollen tights or long socks.

Junior Boy (8-16 years): This is a brand new line, a revival made in IKKS for the under 18's. It has been specially created for the teens of today. The colours are neutral, the themes revolve around music: markings inspired by the legendary punk bands of the 70s and 80s. Boys are rebels, but they are chic. The padded jackets, parka coats, leather jackets, cardigans, sweatshirts and polo shirts match the "slim" and "regular" denim jeans for a trendy and urban silhouette.

Baby (3-24 months): Like their elders, babies also have a chic look, with a "British touch" with various influences. Cardigan sweater, heather mixture cotton polo shirts, velvet trousers, fleece cardigan, sailor jersey, fur jacket and jacquard mesh form a baby boy's wardrobe, making him look quite the little guy. To give the Vintage or US officer on the arts, the markings are retro (antique toys), distinctive (embroidered and emblems badges, aged U.S. flags) and the colours range from black, navy blue to bright blue, red and taupe. For girls, the style is soft, warm and stylish for a very cold winter. Knit dress, sleeveless fur waistcoat, 2 in 1 parka, bloomers, velvet treggings: everything is accessorized with knots, embroidery, woven labels, silver thread and polka dots. Finally, the sober colours make it possible to play with various different "girlie" markings such as knit flowers, interior labels, polka dot collars, crowns, lace and hearts.
